It is good to be here. It is good to be a part of this community. It is good to be with my sisters and brothers in Christ. I am so proud of this church for reaching out, stretching, for struggling together, working and sharing life with each other.
I am so happy to see love and support to those who need it. We have stepped up to share our finances with the Bhutanese Nepali Church of Pittsburgh - and 8 of their youth were able to be at SnoKamp. Our financial generosity has made it possible for our youth to make it to convention this year in Kansas City. Your work allows us to host soup night each week: people making and donating soup every week so that we can take care of our neighbors. It is great stuff.
Generosity and love are more than money and food. We are very good at money and food, it is natural for Stahl. I have seen the Spirit stretching, moving and opening us to each other. I have been overjoyed to see the generosity pouring out in prayers, and handshakes and hugs. People are opening up themselves. We are being vulnerable with each other. Sharing our burdens, weeping with those who weep and laughing with those who laugh.
It is great to be part of this family, as we laugh, and weep and share together. Life goes on. Joy comes and so does sorrow. Health and sickness come and go. Wealth and poverty have touched us all - and together we seek Jesus in the midst of it all. May you give and receive the Peace of God.
