Covid 19 protocols are constantly changing. Because of the increase of cases and the Delta variant, the CDC is recommending increased use of masks when inside public spaces, even if vaccinated. Lay Leaders discussed this change and recommend complying with these new guidelines. We know it is not convenient or popular to do so. However, we choose to error on the side of caution guided by medical professionals. Please visit outdoors following worship, weather permitting, where you can remove your mask. Thanks so much for your patience and willingness to care for the safety and health of one another. We will continue streaming our worships via Facebook Live.
Voices Together is a new hymnal published by Mennomedia. It offers an expanded variety of music to enhance our worship. Worship Committee has decided to have a fundraising event on Dec. 5 at 1:00 (note the change of date to allow for better planning) to help pay for this resource. This will be a hybrid musical event with streaming at the church building and online. You can participate either way.
More details will follow but put the date on your calendar! We will also be raising funds for MCC and its work around the world to bring relief to those in need. You will be able to contribute to either or both projects.
Your continued financial support of the church is greatly appreciated. You can send your offerings to the church address (1201 Soap Hollow Rd, Johnstown 15905) or to Sharon Shetler (667 Soap Hollow Road, Hollsopple, PA 15935). Or you can go to our website (stahlmennonite.org) and donate electronically. It is easy and safe!
ATTENTION: We want everyone in the congregation to be able to communicate with our media group by using their new email address. The new address is:
firstname.lastname@example.org . Please add this to your contact list! This will help get any requests to the media group no matter who is scheduled to run sound on any particular day. Also, if you are able to send requests before the service, it would aid in the preparation process.
